At the Southwark Civic Awards on Monday night the Honorary Liberty of the Old Metropolitan Borough of Bermondsey was awarded to Patrick Kingwell, latterly secretary of the Friends of Southwark Park. The same honour was bestowed on the team behind the restoration of the Queen’s Wedding Cake. Here are the citations:
